Sanibel Floor Lamp

Thank you Amie!
One of our favorite customers sent in a photo of the Sanibel Floor Lamp that she ordered from Tonic Home. Doesn't it look great in her home?
Love it next to that gold arm chair and zebra pillow. What great style she has!

BlinkDecor picks Tonic Home

A big thank you to Anne Carr of BlinkDecor!
Anne (shown above with her darling 3 children) is the founder of BlinkDecor, an online home design shopping guide. Family Circle magazine (December 2007 issue) did a nice article on Anne and how she decorates for the Holiday's.
Love this Living Room! So much green....my favorite color.
Her Holiday decor is so simple and stunning at the same time.
How about the christmas balls attached to the oversized boxwood wreath?
Or the shimmering reindeer hanging out on that statement coffee table?

Want to know what Anne's favorite gifts to give for the Holidays are? None other than the sparkling Mercury Glass Candleholders, (shown bottom right in the photo above) available at Tonic Home.
Anne says that her business sprang from a need to save time and money. She began www.blinkdecor.com in hopes of helping others find great home decor when time is limited. We think she has done a fabulous job!

Bonehead Betty - Christopher Radko

We've just heard the news that Bonehead Betty has been retired! She is a favorite of ours here at Tonic Home. The exclusive design pictured below is by Christopher Radko, the creator of fine European glass ornaments. These nostalgic holiday treasures are handcrafted in the rolling hills of the Historic Hudson Valley. See the adorable headquarters below. No doubt sparkling designs could be created in this quaint building. Named the "Czar of Christmas Present", these ornaments by Christopher Radko are collector's items already. Get them while supplies last.

Mayfair Show House in Tampa

If visiting charity showhouses could be considered a hobby, then it would be one of mine. We recently visited the Mayfair Showhouse, benefitting The Spring of Tampa Bay. This tudor-style mansion was the site of the 1945 wedding of Florida legislator Sam Gibbons and Martha Hanley.

What a wonderful event for a worthy cause and a chance to showcase some extremely talented designers in Florida.

While strolling through this fabulous home, we came across one of our very own favorite products from Arteriors Home. Take a look at the black Lola side table. Looks absolutely sleek and modern next the traditional side chair.

Most photos to come from the historic home!

Wallpaper we love

ASIAN ACCENTS:

I'm so glad wallpaper is back! Just ran across this new wallpaper in Architectural Digest called Mahandi from Carolyn Ray.

The flurry of Ginkgo leaves is fascinating. It is shown in the "pagoda" color, which is a soothing blend of gold, gray and bronze. It is inspired by golden monks' robes and reddish Burmese roads.

I'm already thinking of all the wonderful places it could go. For fun, I picked out some of our fabulous pieces from Tonic Home and placed them against the wallpaper, just to get a feel for how it would look. Take a look below.

How about the Rittenhouse Pendant in a room with this wallpaper? Or the Vivien Mirrored Desk anchored by our pair of Ceramic Foo Dogs? What a refreshingly modern take on a theme that's been around for hundreds of years!

Tonic Home gets Lucky in December

Once again, our friends at Lucky Magazine have given us the greatest compliment by featuring http://www.tonichome.com/ in their magazine and Lucky Breaks area. We are so thankful to everyone at Lucky for their continued support of Tonic Home this year. We have made such wonderful friends!

* Check out Page 236 *

The Rattan Hanging Chair is featured in their annual "Gift Guide" shown in the "North California bohemia" section and we agree that this chair totally down to earth, yet somehow really glamorous.

"Perfectly 70's - this chair is like something you'd spot in a hidden beachside bungalow."

How fun would it be to fill it with some really fluffy shag-like pillows to sink into.

Grab one before they are all gone!

FALL FINDS

THE CHILL IS ON ...

Fall is in full swing and so are some fun new looks for your interior space. New for autumn are colors like cinnebar and seaweed. Check out these square garden stools. The shape and metallic hue make them very right now.

In need of a small house warming gift? How about these minature monkey bookends? They're definitely big on style.

A hot trend this season is copper & brass. You remember brass? The long forgotten metal that was so yesterday for many, many years. Well it's back!

It's back in a big way in the the form of lamps, bar carts, and coffee tables.

So if you were ready to rip out all your brass hardware, you might want to hold off. It's come full circle!

All products can be found at http://www.tonichome.com/

Mod Metal for High Voltage Shine

From silver, to chrome,
to polished aluminum, the latest look in home decor is a shot of shimmer and shine.

Accessories like these make it easy to modernize your look. This wonderful polished aluminum round side table does the trick. Mix it with wood, cow hide rugs, or soft fabrics, the jolt of shimmer makes it very "today."

For a bolder and more whimsical approach, check out this "new" take an old-fashioned hunt trophy. The aluminum cow head is definitely larger than life.

Lighting is another great place to pump up the shimmer volume. This super shiny pendent is a must have for a kitchen or dining area. The mirror shade with delicate glass beads peaking from underneath is truly glam-tastic.

For a kitchen island, this oval glass beaded chandelier with sheer black fabric is a real showstopper.

Furniture with metal embellishments like this studded ottoman is a hot look, too.

...Just a few ideas to get you going and give you inspiration. Now let's get decorating! All items sold at http://www.tonichome.com/ Click for more details.

Organic and Natual Takes Center Stage in Home Decor

Natural and Sleek: A Winning Combination!
As the world gets more chaotic and frightening, many are seeking calmness and tranquility in their homes. A growing trend this season continues to be organic and natural products to help keep us grounded. And nothing looks better with virtually every style of home decor than natural wood. As we noticed at the Atlanta Market, the key this season is to mix it up with wood tones, textures and shapes.

From coffee tables, side tables and decorative accents; wood is everywhere, and the chunkier the better.

Driftwood, limed oak, pine; it can all work together in one space. But if you don't want to start completely over and just want a touch of wood, try these solid decorative balls for a lonely corner or in a foyer.

Even "tree trunk" lighting is taking root in home design, like this lamp from Arteriors (32 h). The best part about the organic vibe is it goes with all styles of decor; contrast it with metal and mirrors, and now you've got instant high style!
